The Ninetyten are an English indie rock band formed in early 2003. Their sound is characterised by a sonic landscape of impassioned, soulful vocals, swirling guitar riffs, and rolling rhythms.

The band comprises James Graham on vocals, guitars, and keyboards, Rob Skett on lead guitars, Bob Timmins on bass guitars, and Darren Hanson on drums. All four are natives of the West Midlands, more specifically the Black Country – an area known for its historical significance in the Industrial Revolution, and one of the first industrialised regions in the world.

During the noughties the band were highly active on the Birmingham music scene with numerous headline and main support shows at the iconic Rainbow, and Birmingham Barfly venues in Digbeth. Their raw, energetic live performances culminated with a headline show at the Birmingham Institute on the BBC Introducing stage for the Gigbeth Music Festival.

However, after becoming increasingly frustrated with the live music scene The Ninetyten retreated to their rehearsal space to recharge and write new material. Emerging a few years later, the band shifted their focus to intimate acoustic sets at venues including Birmingham’s Jam House, as well as self-promoted, 90 minute headline shows at Dudley’s Lamp Tavern.

2023 see’s the first of many planned official releases of The Ninetyten’s back catalogue of music spanning two decades, three studio moves, and one pandemic.

Stay tuned.
